Even though the Iya- Ilu in traditional Yoruba language means the mother of drums; it is our intention to showcase not only traditional drums per sé but the unique significance of arts, culture and tradition of the Yorubas.
We will showcase the great importance and significance of Iya-Ilu in Yoruba land. Essentially, it is our goal to emphasize the unifying power of Iya-Ilu. It plays the leading role as it communicates and coordinates other drums and instruments in a bid to produce melodious and spectacular harmony.
